posted on the now defunct http://blog.boardkulture.com and transfered to the 3KWA bliki.

I treated myself to a DVD (for XMas if I need a reason) : Aardvark. I guess it is very geeky but in a non technical kind of way. It is about geeks and mostly one more marketing stunt by Joel. It is nevertheless a good watch.

A few months ago I discoverd DARCS which I didn't use at the time (didn't need a revivision control system). I am not sure I need one now but I followed from a distance Python's migration from csv to svn and felt like giving one (RCS) a bash. I have never used the others but in terms of simplicity and ease of use DARCS is a treat.

I used it at work to have more control on the work I am doing regarding the analysis of wool auction prices and will more than likely in the near future use it for Tutorial/PumpItUp (I have saved the source for every version so that should be fun ;).

Went to the movie over the WE, saw Good Night and Good Luck, a bit slow at time but a must see!

Decided that the best way to shift focus off work in the evening was to read scientific magazines ... bought Pour La Science, the french edition of Scientific American, which I use to read when I was studying, and La Recherche, which I tried to read when I was studying. I'll see which one will serve the purpose best (I think Pour La Science, La Recherche will just make me feel stupid :D).

While browsing the La Recherche web site, learnt about a DVD I might buy : L'empire des nombres ... could be interesting!
