Man! I caught a cold in the plane on the way back. My nose is so stuffed I can't sleep. I was sitting in front of a coughing old man on the plane. I blame him :P

Watched the Mondrian presentation Guido gave on the 30th of November on Google Video (cf. 20061122). I found it interesting from a software engineering point of view i.e. methodology and tools, but not as exciting as a Python presentation by the man himself. Learnt that a Newbie Googler is called a Noobler :P

I also watched a fascinating intervention by Mary Poppendieck entitled Competing on the basis of speed. I found it very interesting in many respects the most controversial being the application of queue theory to todo list management. I will make the time to watch it at least a second time ;)

On the bathroom front, I am hoping the boys will be finished by the end of the day. It will then only be a question of waiting for the joints to dry (48h?) and at last we will be able to say we are home! I popped in last night and noticed that we will be short of tiles so ran to the store and luckily they had what I needed available (actually, they gave me some from another order after I complained that they were 10 days late delivering the tiles which meant that I came back from hollidays with no bathroom to use :P).

I am not usually the complaining type but I have noticed lately that if you don't you rarely get anywhere ... sad :(
