Using stars for higher purposes ...

Watched some Google videos I starred in the past few weeks! When a new video shows up in my education folder, I star those I think I will be interested in, and usually watch several in a row when procrastination is an option ;)

Googlers obsession with their brain continues with Welcome to your brain. The speakers are not as entertaining as Medina but nevertheless very interesting:

  • Will power is a finite but trainable mental ressource
  • Sleep seems to contribute to the consolidation of memory
  • You can train to remember your dreams
  • Cats kill a lot in their dreams :D
  • Stress generates hormones that shut down non essential function (to face physical danger) such as digestion an cell duplication
  • 11 days sleep deprivation is the upper survivable limit (cf. previous point :P)
  • Men are better than women at spatial manipulation (object rotation) but women rock at spatial recollection
  • I am an addict (Internet / Email / ... you name it) - second time in 2 weeks that I hear about the CAGE test

I also watched Rice Freeman-Zachery author of Living the creative life and decided to get the book (along with Johnny Bunko). It's not that I class myself as an artist or anything ... ok I do :P. I mostly want understand a bit more what Em. is (or should be) doing!

You go to Art School to learn to deal with criticism!
