A man I admire and respect greatly ...

I know where I will be on the 19th of June at 6pm:

Galerie Delerive
8 rue Masurel
Lille, France

It's the opening of an 2 weeks show (19/6 > 30/6) of the Groupe de Roubaix (photographies d'André Florin et peintures).

My hatred for Django (the word is too strong, I am still committed to getting the job done using the D.) is epitomized by my struggling with the in-house template system: what I would normally consider as a bug is a smart journalist feature (my mistake)!

I'll choose Mako anytime over the D.

To end my rant, I hate with a passion platform lock in strategies. Did you guess? I spent all of yesterday trying to get colivri to play well with IE! It works out of the box with Firefox , Opera (which could become my favorite browser when dragonfly matures and has better del.icio.us integration) and Safari but not MS's baby!

I heard web developers are waiting eagerly for MS to push IE7 everywhere so they don't have to worry about 6 anymore. I will not deal with 6 myself, waste of my time, so might end up paying someone to do it if it is necessary. If you know someone good, who knows all the tips & tricks to cross- browser compatibility ...

Which leads me to wonder about using a Selenium test suite (on top of screenshots) as specs and acceptance tests when working with third party developers ... more on that soon.

For R., colivri is not even partially ajaxified yet 'cause there are no automated tests ;)
