love it or hate it ...

They've done it! Django 1.0 is out.

COlivri is running on Django version 1.0-final-SVN-8961, keeping up with the svn changes wasn't always easy (especially with the backward incompatible changes) but I guess worth it.

It has been interesting and only occasionally fun developing with Django yet I am looking forward to refactoring and stop using it! Why? I feel forced into coding in ways that don't suit me. I am disappointed by the ORM but that could be because of my ignorance. Last but not least (it's the web after all) the template sucks big time!

Congrats to the Django team though, I can't even fathom putting a framework out there for the world to play with!
