20080907

Wow! L'élégance du hérisson is a beautifully written, smart yet not pompous, tragic yet merry book. Saying it is a perfect read for a rainy Sunday does not do it justice. I loved it!

Em. is amazing. I wanted to hear the Death of Dido from Purcell's Dido & Aenas and within seconds I could read Barbery's (or should I say Renée's) description of what I was listening to ... very moving.

Near Lille in France? Borrow it from Claire.

Next Em. told me I should go back to Venice (where Across the river and into the trees takes place see 20080906) and read The Aspern Papers by Henry James ... I shall!

But first I'll give my geeky self a Python fix with The Python Object Model, Python Callbacks and Python behind the scene by Alex the Python rock star Martelli!
